Care connects children, families, and communities and fosters meaningful change for children. This fall, we invite you to help that care grow.
Across South Africa, Even Ground’s partners are creating ecosystems of support—from gardens that feed families, to early learning centers that open doors for children and parents, to educators who lead with heart.
Your gift helps these circles of care connect and grow, moving from individual homes, schools, and communities to foster wider ecosystems of care for more than 7,000 children across the Even Ground network.
Thembi’s Story – Thanda, KwaZulu-Natal
In KwaNdelu, layers of care surround Thembi Ntuli and her family through the multi-faceted support provided by Even Ground partner organization Thanda.
Through Thanda’s farming program, Thembi has learned to grow food, earn and income, and share her knowledge with other beginning farmers in her community. “Thanda taught me how to plant properly and how to care for what I grow. Now I can feed my family and even share with others.”
While Thembi works in the garden, her children attend Thanda’s early childhood development (ECD) and literacy programs, bringing lessons home that inspire her own growth.
Her story shows how care and connection ripple outward, strengthening families and communities.
